Rescue vehicle bounces against tree - three dead
According to the police, the vehicle came off the road early in the morning and bounced head-on against a tree. At the scene of the accident, the 21-year-old driver, his 33-year-old companion and a 59-year-old patient died. The patient's wife followed the car after a few minutes and had to be treated at the accident site of pastoral caretakers.
Street was not smooth
Why the car descended from the road was initially unclear. It had not been smooth in the night, a police officer said. But the road was wet. The emergency forces released the road early in the morning after hours of disabling. The investigators would look at the site again in the light, said the spokesman. But to reconstruct the exact process is difficult.
Rescue cars and police cars were always involved in serious accidents in the past. In Hanover, an 18-year-old pizzabot died on Monday because she collided head-on with a police car on her scooter. In July 2015 the 23-year-old driver of a hospital car and a 21-year-old driver near Wittmund also died in a frontal collision.
